The official release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is August 24th, tho preorders will begin on August 10 through major carriers, Samsung, and big box stores like Best Buy.The 128 GB Note 9 with 6GB of RAM will cost $999, while the 512GB Note 9 with 8GB of RAM will cost $1,249. The new Note 9 sports a huge 4000mAh battery for extra long battery life, compared to the 3300mAh battery seen on the Note 8 and 3500mAh battery seen on the S9+, making the Note 9 battery the biggest seen in any Samsung smartphone to date.The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 2960x1440 resolution, giving the display sharp, crisp colors and true blacks. The Note 9 display is virtually identical to the display used on the Galaxy s9.There are two storage options available for the new Galaxy Note 9 - a 128GB paired with 6GB of RAM or a 512GB paired with 8GB of RAM. Both phones support MicroSD cards for additional storage.The new S Pen included with the Note 9 now supports wireless functionality over Bluetooth. The S Pen can be used to perform tasks within apps with a simple click or two of the button. S Pen actions can easily be configured within Samsung apps, though support for third-party apps may not be available immediately.As far as hardware is concerned, the camera on the Note 9 is identical to that seen on the S9+. However, Samsung added new software features that make the Note 9 camera far more capable than on the S9+, including better low-light capabilities, as well as features like "Scene Customizer," which can detect objects within the frame using 20 different scene types and automatically apply camera settings to get you the most optimal shot, and "Flaw Detection," which will automatically analyze photos for "flaws" such as blur or blinking eyes and suggest a re-shoot.
