Ask This When Booking a Cabana in Las Vegas

If your idea of a dream vacation in Vegas has you mere steps away from a gorgeous pool, while kicking back and enjoying food and drinks in the shade with some friends, a Vegas cabana may be the perfect option for your next getaway. Booking a pool-side cabana isn't as simple as booking a hotel room, however, and each hotel has its own set of rules and rates for cabana rentals. Some hotels charge a flat per-day rate, while others rent out the cabanas with a daily food and beverage minimum. When booking your cabana, make sure you know the right questions to ask to make sure your rental goes exactly as planned.

How many people will the cabana accommodate?
Cabanas come in various sizes, depending on the hotel. If you'll have an especially large group of people, call around to find a cabana that will accommodate everyone comfortably, so no one is left out in the sun while the rest of you kick back in the shade!
Is there a minimum food and drink order to reserve the cabana?
Some hotels charge a flat rate, some use a minimum food and beverage order for rentals, and some hotels use both. Always ask what the rate is when booking your cabana, so there are no surprises later on!
Do you rent your cabanas to anyone who is not a guest at your hotel?
A lot of hotels will only rent cabanas out to current guests, so before you set your heart on a cabana at a hotel you're not staying at, call and ask whether they'll rent to you if you aren't a guest.
Is there a minimum number of people required in order to rent a cabana?
Most hotels will rent a cabana to you regardless of party size, but some hotels may require a minimum number of guests. Call the hotel ahead of time to find out if there is a minimum number of people needed in your party in order to secure the rental. You might also want to ask whether there is a maximum number, especially if your party is on the larger side.
How far in advance do I need to make a reservation for a cabana?
As a general rule, you probably want to book the cabana as early as possible, especially during the peak season. If you're planning a party, check with the hotel staff far in advance to make sure you'll be able to make your reservation for the date you need. If you're looking for a same-day cabana rental, you may need to call a few hotels before finding one that's available.
Will I get a discounted rate if I'm a hotel guest?
Some hotels may discount your cabana rate if you're currently staying in the hotel. Ask when booking your cabana, and be sure to ask about any other discounts or promotions, as well!
Is anything included with my cabana rental?
The hotel may include some snacks and beverages in your cabana rental, especially if they're charging you a flat rate, while others only provide the cabana and wait staff. When booking your cabana, ask the hotel staff what's included and whether there are any add-ons you can purchase to help your party go more smoothly.
