The base 530i sedan trim with 20 liter I-4 engine has the best gas mileage, getting 24 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. By contrast the 550i trim gets 15 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
iDrive is the BMW's infotainment system. In the redesigned 5-Series, the iDrive has been updated with a new interface.
